Today is the first day of Second Semester in Music Haven’s fourth year of existence. As we begin the new semester, we’re beginning a new media source, and you’re reading it! In case you haven’t thoroughly perused our website, you can find pretty much everything you’ll need to know about Music Haven here.
Although this will primarily be a site devoted to media and the like, we will start by explaining the nuts and bolts of Music Haven.
Music Haven, in brief, is a non-profit organization committed to building a vibrant urban community through performance and music education that empowers young people, their families, and professional musicians. Through the permanent residency of the Haven String Quartet, Music Haven provides world-class performances and tuition-free music education in the urban communities of New Haven.
Check back in the coming days to read about our staff, the Haven String Quartet, and the most important people in the Music Haven community, the students.
